FEIG had its best year ever in 2018 with the launching of new products for automatic vehicle identification, access control, and mobility

Duluth, GA — January 22, 2019 — FEIG Electronics, a leading global supplier of radio frequency identification (RFID) readers and antennas, today announced changes to its management team to continue building upon the successes of the company’s best year.

Michael Hrabina, Executive Vice President for FEIG Electronics for the U.S. will move into the new role of Global Product Marketing Manager to closely collaborate with corporate in Weilburg, Germany to develop and promote FEIG’s competitive advantage and value proposition to its customers around the world.

During the past four and a half years as Executive Vice President, Mr. Harbina successfully increased sales of the HF and UHF readers to more than doubled in the areas of security, library, and healthcare while expanding into untapped segments in gaming, entertainment, and vehicle identification.

“With profitability rising, increased brand awareness and the company well positioned for long-term sustainable growth, it is with great pride that I hand the reigns to a capable, professional and well-motivated team and shift to an exciting new role with FEIG Worldwide,” Said Mike Hrabina.

Deborah Greenway will now serve as Executive Vice President for the U.S.

In her new role, Mrs. Greenway will be responsible for all channel sales efforts with a focus on expanding the adoption of FEIG’s products and the revenue growth strategy in the region.

With more than 20 years of high-tech industry experience in the areas of wireless communications and protocols, Mrs. Greenway recently served for three years as Strategic Account Manager at Rakon and previously, as Director of Sales for Epson for over thirteen years.

“I’m excited and humbled to take on this new challenge, and to lead FEIG Electronics into the next chapter, as we strengthen our current partners and develop new channels of distribution for our contactless Identification (RFID), electronic control systems, traffic sensor systems, and payment terminals,” said Mrs. Greenway.

The company introduced products that included:

  • The Wiegand Switch, an award-winning product released at the ISC West Security Show that enables a single AVI RFID reader to authenticate vehicles at multiple barrier-controlled access points.
  • The Compact UHF Reader, a product that integrates a reader, antenna and traffic light into a single easy to install, IP65 rated housing for perimeter control and parking applications.
  • UHF Portalthat captures RFID tags passing between a well-controlled detection zone in addition to their direction. The UHF Portal incorporates a people counter that enumerates the number of individuals that pass between the portal, ideal for article surveillance and event management.
  • UHF Directional Motion Readerthat detects tags and direction that is easily and unobtrusively mounted in a ceiling or wall.

FEIG also expanded its product portfolio to include barcode identification and added the portable RFID readers with the acquisition of the PANMOBIL®.
